You may be stressed if you feel like you might miss your plane. Travelling can take a lot of time especially if you go during an extremely busy season such as during the winter holidays. Give yourself plenty of time so that even if you get delayed you will not run the risk of missing anything.

You want to always know where all of your tickets are. You can keep a paper or computer file with all of the travel information you might need such as flight details, car rental information, etc. Whenever you need any of this information you will then know exactly where to get.

Obviously there are times that these will just creep up on you, but you can check about many of them. You may want to bring a soft pillow to help you relax on that plane. You may want to bring a book if it will help you not be so nervous during a long train ride. If you get more stressed when you are hungry, then bring food that you can munch on. You may find that these small things can make a big difference.
Many people also find it very stressful to travel with children, and there are a lot of techniques that can help you with this. Bring activities for them such a DVD player for a car. This will help you to avoid a chorus of “Are we there yet?!”
Try relaxation techniques while traveling
If you know you will be nervous while travelling, then think about whether any relaxation techniques would be of use. For instance, if you are scared of flying, then you may try to meditate while on the plane. Try not to procrastinate packing so that you are sleep-deprived while traveling because this may just make you more stressed.
