Effective Hiding Places for Childrens Christmas Gifts

The lengths to which children will go to find their Christmas gifts can amaze any parent. If you want your gift to be a surprise on December 25th, you will need to work extra hard to find a hiding place where they will never find it. Consider the following ideas.
Garage
The garage can be an excellent place for hiding Christmas presents. It will be especially effective if it is off limits to the children. You can hide them in an old cardboard box or under a tarp so that they are not visible.
Bathroom
Who would think to look for presents in a bathroom? Of course, make sure that the moisture would not hurt them. You could hide them under the sink, in a cabinet or under some towels. It will be even more effective if you could use the master bathroom, guest bathroom or another bathroom that the children do not generally use.
Kitchen
The kids probably will not think of scouring the pantry for their Christmas presents, thus that can be a unique and effective place in which to hide them. You can choose the pantry or food closet. Car
You could store the presents in your car. If you have the room, the trunk could be the perfect spot.

Out of the house
You may literally have nowhere in the house where the presents will be safe from the little ones. In this case, you will have no choice but to get them out of the house. Consider your office, especially if the children never go there. Another idea is to store them at a friend or family member’s house. Of course you need to make sure they do not mind since presents can take up a lot of room. You could even consider doing a present swap so that you are each holding presents for the other’s children. Just make sure that the kids do not get together to find out what they are.
