When spring comes, have your students make a beautiful art project to celebrate the season. The following are some ideas for projects that the kids can do.
Spring is all about flowers, and you can have your children make some in an art project. They can take a coffee filter and color it with markers and paints that will not wash away with water. You can then wet it, and fold up the sides so that it looks like a flower. The children can then take a green pipe cleaner and tie it to the middle to be the stem. They can make one flower or an entire bouquet.
The children can make many other art projects related to flowers. For instance, you can give them a bunch of pieces of different colored construction paper, and they can cut out pieces to make the petals of different flowers. They can glue these down on a paper. They can also paint or draw flowers on paper with markers, crayons, paints, etc. You can also give them different embellishments that they can add to their art projects such as glitter, feathers or more.
They can also make an art project with a real flower. They can press some flowers into paper and then decorate it with different art materials as described above.
The children can also decorate a piece of apparel with a flower or spring theme. They can use fabric paints or markers to make colorful pictures of flowery fields on shirts, hats, belts and other items.
They can also paint an object. You can have them paint a little wooden box, for instance, in a spring theme. They can paint a bunch of different baby animals on it, for instance. They can also paint a wooden picture frame, which they can use for a picture of them enjoying this lovely time of year.
They can also make an art project to celebrate one of the spring holidays. For instance, they can decorate plastic Easter eggs or make themselves an Easter basket. If they celebrate Passover, then they can make an art project related to that such as something with a Jewish star on it
There are many great art project s that would go well for the spring months. Make sure that the art project is suitable for the age of the children, but you may be able to adapt it by doing a little more or a little less of the preparation. Consider the above ideas when planning your projects.
