Not everyone wants to give out candy for Halloween. Perhaps you do not like the thought of giving out something so unhealthy to children. Perhaps you want to do something different. Perhaps you do not feel like people will eat it if the children do not know you. For whatever reason, you might want some non-candy Halloween treats. Consider the following inexpensive ideas.
Halloween rings
They make little plastic Halloween rings for very inexpensive prices. Of course, everyone is familiar with the black spider variety and they make many other types as well. You might find a big package that has other designs like pumpkins, ghosts and witches. These can be good for both boys and girls and usually cost very little. The kids enjoy them and even if they have some, they might always enjoy more. You also might be able to find other jewelry to give away during Halloween that is very inexpensive as well such as plastic bracelets or necklaces.
Halloween stickers
Halloween stickers are extremely inexpensive, and yet a lot of kids like them on Halloween. They make some that are cute and fun such as pumpkins while others are scarier such as witches, ghosts or haunted houses. You can often buy these in big sheets and you can cut them up to give the children as many as you want. They also come in different sizes as well.
Halloween card games
Costco now sells a pack of many different Halloween card games like Go Fish to give to kids. These have different popular kids’ characters on them such as the Disney princesses and those from Toy Story. This can be a great present for the children and can be something that they actually use.
Halloween pencils
You can buy pencils to give out on Halloween night. They make different ones that have Halloween motifs on them. Again, this can be something practical that the children can use when they go to school. You can also give the children something to do such as a miniature coloring book along with some small crayons.
An inexpensive non-candy gift can make a unique and fun treat for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. Consider the above ideas when deciding what to give. You can also often get big lots with a lot of different types of inexpensive toys from sources such as Oriental Trading Company online. Make sure that what you give is age appropriate or mention it to the parents when the trick-or-treaters come.
